Featured Project - Sheffield University Student Village

Sheffield University Student VillageA large multi phase project creating new student accommodation for the University of Sheffield. This project provided a great opportunity for us to show case the benefits of having several packages managed by a single contractor.
In addition to render, I-W were involved in the architectural and commodity blockwork, brickwork, timber cladding, as well as precast flooring, roofing and screeding packages.

The mixture of new fast track building techniques and traditional methods proved very effective. For example an insulated render system was used which incorporates a blockwork wall overlaid with CFC free insulating board, followed by a scrim adhesive cloth mesh, grey polymer basecoat and a cream polymer render finish.
